The project DIYfuture – Development of DIY mending and upcycling skills among youth for our common sustainable future aims to teach young people DIY skills to increase the lifetime of products andsustainable consumption. 

At the same time, the project will teach young people the basics of entrepreneurship in order to fill the gap between the need for a circular economy and the current reality where goods are over-consumed.

About Us

Welcome to the project DIYfuture – Development of DIY mending and upcycling skills among youth for our common sustainable future that aims to teach young people DIY skills and the basics of entrepreneurship in order to: 

Empower young people to develop their own products and businesses, revitalise the culture of repair and recycling, thereby increasing sustainability in our society, fill the gap between the need for a circular economy and the current reality of overconsumption.

To support our work with our target groups, the DIYfuture project aims to:

Improve youth’s handiwork skills and their ability to repair, recycle and upgrade products. This will be achieved through the combination of e-lectures and DIY projects

Boost youth’s entrepreneurial skills through a case study of a self-made product

Empower young people to start their own DIY projects or start their own business.

Our target groups:

Young adults (aged 18-26) who tend to lack DIY and manual skills.

Teachers, Trainers, Entrepreneurs, Educational Institutions.
